Heartspace
How
do we journey from the head to the heart and learn to trust the innate
wisdom that lies in our heart?
The drum and flute teach
us much, mostly about the heart. The drum is the heartbeat of our sacred
Earth. Our own drum, the first memory of our heartbeat entrained with our
Mother’s, was where we felt safe, abundant and able to give and receive love
freely with ease and grace.
In September, Patrick
will lead a seven-week class to in which participants will experience
teachings and activities to help us discover exactly what it means to be in
our “Heartspace.” Patrick will lead us through play, music, drumming and
teachings from the sacred wheel of life designed to help align our heads
with our hearts, awaken the whole-hearted child within, and learn tools to
nurture this aspect of ourselves and actualize our potential.
We
will journey into the West, the “going within” place to uncover and release
the blocks, fears and doubts that block us from our highest potential.
Together
we will learn:
How to stand in the center of our being
How to give and receive with our full attention
How to connect with the heart – where giving and receiving are
one
How to communicate clearly from the heart and listen with the
heart’s ear
How to spontaneously improvise and play for the joy of it
How to reconnect with the whole-hearted play of the child
How to create a functional community within … the without.
